Meet the founder
Greg has 25+ years of experience working at the intersection of growth strategy, network economics, and customer experience. He loves to solve complex problems and to help his clients reach their goals. He brings a breadth of experience working as a thought leader and trusted advisor with senior executives across a range of industries, including banking, insurance, post/parcels, public service, telecom/cable, consumer products, and non-profits.
This cross-industry perspective enables Greg to share solutions across industries, and is particularly valuable as the lines between industries continue to blur with new digitally-enabled business models.
Greg's work has spanned strategy to execution, and he is equally comfortable at every level of his clients, across marketing, finance, and operations. He has led large-scale transformation initiatives, small top-down strategy projects, and Board of Directors strategy sessions. Greg has had leadership roles in the successful start-up of 3 consultancies, as well as 15+ years in Strategy Managing Director roles at Accenture and Deloitte.
This mix of experiences contributes to his appreciation of the execution required on the front line to translate a strategy into successful business results.
Greg holds an MBA in Finance and Decision Sciences from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from Princeton University. Greg, his wife Kristina, their three children, and their 2 rescue hounds live in Chevy Chase, MD.
What's in a name? Channel Marker Strategies
Nautical channel markers provide valuable guidance for all types of navigators as they seek safe passage -- whether heading out to sea or returning to port.
From a young age, water experiences have been a central element in my life and personal development: from high school swim team 2-a-day practices, to crew and sailing teams in college, to scuba diving on our honeymoon. Most recently, I piloted Lucky Dog, our trawler, from Annapolis to Key West, the Bahamas, New York City, and Rhode Island, creating lifelong memories with my family and instilling a passion for water adventures in my teenage kids.
I am grateful for these experiences, and they have shaped me: my tenacity, my desire to learn and understand why, my drive to just do it in the face of ambiguity, and my commitment to supporting my team members and clients. Most importantly, these experiences have instilled in me the values of listening and empathy-- listening to experts and others/customers, working as a team toward mutually beneficial solutions, and adopting appropriate new tools to navigate through challenging new situations.
Customer experience improvements and strategic initiatives to achieve significant growth can be complicated.... Channel Marker Strategies works with you to make the journey clear, straightforward, and profitable.
